The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an advertisement for the recruitment of various civil service posts. 861 Posts UPSC – Civil Services Exam, 2022 | Last Date: 22.02.2022.

Total number of posts: 861


  • Passed any degree. Candidates studying in the final year of the degree can also apply.


  • Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as on 01.08.2022.
  • Must have been born between 02.08.1990 – 01.08.2001.

Number of Attempts:

  • Unlimited for SC / ST Candidates, 9 Attempts for OBC Candidates.


  • The selection process will be based on written test (Preliminary, Mains), Interview / Personality Test.

Preliminary Examination:

  • It consists of two papers. 200 marks will be allotted for each.
  • The questions in both the papers are in the form of Objective Type Multiple Choice.
  • The test time is two hours. Paper-2 will be the Journal Studies Qualifying Paper in the Preliminary Examination.
  • 33% of these qualifying marks are required.
  • It has negative markings.
  • Candidates who qualify in the Prelims will be selected for the Mains Examination.
  • The Mains exam will be administered for a total of 2025 marks.

Application fee:

  • Others have to pay Rs.100.
  • There is no fee for women / SC / ST / PWD candidates.
