The state government has sanctioned new posts for nine government medical colleges and affiliated hospitals to be set up in Telangana next year. A total of 3,897 posts have been sanctioned at the rate of 433 per college. The finance department has issued orders to this effect. Posts have been sanctioned for medical colleges and their affiliated hospitals in Rajanna Sirisilla, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Kumrambhim Asifabad, Janagam, Nirmal.
