Pre-Metric, Post-Metric, Merit Means Scholarships

The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India is seeking applications from eligible minority (Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Muslim, Christian) candidates for the following scholarship programs for the academic year 2021-2022.

Scholarship Schemes:

1. Pre-Metric Scholarships
2. Post‌ Matricular Scholarships
3. Merit Comes Means Scholarships

1) Pre-Metric Scholarships

Eligibility: 

• These scholarships are offered to minority students studying from 1st to 10th class.
• Must have scored at least 50 percent marks in the final examination conducted last year.
• The annual income of the parents should not exceed one lakh rupees per annum.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection process will be conducted on the basis of academic merit marks and annual income.

2) Post‌ Matricular Scholarships

Eligibility: 

• These are offered to minority students pursuing Higher Secondary in Government / Private Colleges / Universities. 
• Must have obtained at least 50% marks / equivalent grade in the final examination conducted last year. 
• The annual income of the parents should not exceed two lakh rupees per annum.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection process will be conducted on the basis of academic merit marks and annual income. 
• When these two are equal the date of birth is selected based on seniority.

3) Merit Comes Means Scholarships

Eligibility: 

• Poor, talented minority students pursuing professional and technical courses are eligible. 
• Must have obtained at least 50% marks / equivalent grade in the final examination conducted last year. 
• The annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs per annum.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection process will be based on merit and annual income. 

Total Scholarship: 

• Rs. 20000 / – per annum under course fee, Rs. 1000 / – per month for Maintenance Allowance and Rs. 500 / – per month for Day Scholar.
