The Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) in New Delhi, Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Welfare, Government of India, has issued a joint notification to the Net, ARS (Preliminary), STOL for the year 2021. ASRB NET, ARS & STO Online Form 2021 | Apply Online | Last Date: 25.04.2021
1) National Eligibility Test (NET)
- This examination is conducted for eligibility for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor in State or other Agricultural Universities.
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree/equivalent pass in relevant disciplines, specializations by 19.09.2021
Age:
- Must be 21 years as on 01.01.2021.
- The National Eligibility Test (NET) does not have a maximum age.
- The number of attempts is also unlimited (can be written any number of times).
Selection Procedure:
- The selection process will be conducted on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT).
Examination Procedure:
- It consists of a paper. It is administered for 150 marks. The questions are in the form of Multiple Choice. The test is conducted for 150 marks at the rate of 1 mark per question. This includes negative marking. A deduction of 1/3 mark will be levied for each wrong answer. The test will be conducted in English and Hindi mediums. The test time is two hours.
2) Agricultural Research Services-Preliminary Exam (ARS): 222
- Candidates who have successfully completed ARS Prelims, Mains, Viva Voice will be accepted as Scientists in ICAR.
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree/equivalent pass with specialization in the relevant field.
Age:
- Must be between 21-32 years as on 01.01.2021.
- A number of Attempts 6 (Unreserved Category), 9 for OBC, PWD Candidates.
Selection Procedure:
- The selection process will be based on Computer Based Test (Prelims), Mains, and Viva-Voice.
Examination Procedure:
- The ARS-2021 (Preliminary) Examination will be in Objective Type mode. It is administered for 150 marks. The test time is two hours. Those who qualify will be selected for the Mains examination. It will be for 240 marks. Exam time is 3 hours. Candidates who have secured the qualifying marks will be selected for Viva Voice.
3) Senior Technical Officer (STO): 65
- Through this, the posts of Senior Technical Officer in ICAR Headquarters and other research institutes will be filled through direct recruitment.
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree/equivalent pass in relevant specializations by 19.09.2021.
Age:
- Must be between 21-35 years as on 25.04.2021.
Selection Procedure:
- The selection process will be conducted on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT), interview.
Examination Procedure:
- This examination will be conducted in the form of a Multiple Choice Objective for 150 marks. The test time is two hours. Candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in this examination will be selected for an interview.
