Category Wise Vacancy Details
1) Navik (General Duty):
Eligibility:
- 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
2) Navik (Domestic Branch):
Eligibility:
- 10th Class passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
3) Yantrik:
Eligibility:
- 10th class passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Age:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Maximum Age: 22 Years.
- Age Between: 01/08/2000 to 31/07/2004 for Navik GD & Yantrik
- Age Between: 01/10/2000 to 30/09/2004 for Navik DB
Selection Procedure:
- The selection process will be in different stages.
- The selection process is carried out through Stages 1, 2, 3, 4.
The first stage (Stage-1):
- Stage-1 consists of a written test. This includes Section-1, 2, 3, 4, 5 tests. The section in which the examination will be conducted for the relevant posts, in which the marks to be passed, the syllabus of the relevant subjects, the duration of the examination and the questions to be asked are given in detail in the advertisement.
The second stage (Stage-2):
- A merit list is prepared based on merit in the computer-based online test conducted in the first stage. Accordingly, they are selected for stage-2. These include the Physical Fitness Test, the Document Verification, the Reassessment Test, and the First Medical Test.
Third stage (Stage-3):
- Stage-1, Stage-2 are selected for Stage-3 based on talent. Stage-3 includes Document Verification, Final Medical Test, Original Document Verification, and Police Verification.
Fourth stage (Stage-4):
- In which the original certificates obtained from various Education Boards / Universities / State Governments are to be placed before the Indian Coast Guard. Certificates will be terminated if absolutely (genuine) otherwise.
