01) Librarian under control of commissioner of Intermediate Education Eligibility:
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce and a Postgraduate Degree in Library Science with first or second class with not less than 50% of marks from a university in India established or incorporated by or under a central act, state act, or a provincial act, or an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent qualification.
02) Librarian under control of commissioner of Technical Education Eligibility:
LEVEL-9-A, Entry Pay 56,100/-
1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an Equivalent Professional Degree with at least first class or its equivalent and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
2. Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by UGC or another equivalent test as approved by the UGC
LEVEL-10 Entry Pay 57,700/-
A Master’s degree with First Class or equivalent and have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC, like SLET/ CET or Ph.D.
AGE: The candidates should possess a Minimum of 18 years & Maximum of 44 years. The age is reckoned as of 01/07/2022 (Rule-12(1)(a)(v) of State and Subordinate Service Rules).
(As per G.O.Ms.No.42, G.A.(Ser. A) Department, Dt. 19/03/2022 the upper age limit is raised up to 10 years i.e., from 34 years to 44 years)
Minimum Age (18 years): An Applicant should not be born after 01/07/2004
Maximum Age (44 years): An applicant should not be born before 02/07/1978
The Upper Age limit will be relaxed as per the Rules and will be calculated on the above lines.
Age Relaxations: The upper age limit prescribed above is however relaxable in the following cases:
Application FEE:
i) Application Processing Fee:- Each applicant must pay Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) towards Online Application Processing Fee.
ii) Examination Fee:- The applicants have to pay RS. 120/- (Rupees One Hundred and Twenty Only) towards Examination Fee. However,
a) All unemployees are exempted from payment of examination fee, and
b) All Employees of any Government (Central / State / PSUs / Corporations / Other Government sectors) have to pay the prescribed examination fee.
