ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOLS ENTRANCE EXAM AISSEE – 2023 | The central government has established a military school with the aim of preparing officers required for the three forces from the school level. The education here is inculcating patriotism along with thorough discipline and personality development. The skills needed to enter the defense sector are taught right from the school stage. 18 new military schools: 

The Central Government has released the All India Military Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE-2023) notification for the 6th and 9th class admissions for the academic year 2023-2024 in 33 military schools under the Ministry of Defense across the country. The entrance test conducted for this is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as per the rules of the Sainik School Society. The Ministry of Defense has approved 18 new military schools in partnership with NGOs/Private Schools/State Governments. In these schools also the sixth class admissions will be done through AISSEE-2023.

The age of the students for admission to Class VI should be between 10-12 years as on March 31, 2023. Girls can also apply for admission in class VI. 

The age of the students taking admission in Class IX should be between 13-15 years as on March 31, 2023. Should have passed the 8th standard. 

Mode of Examination: Allotment of seats will be based on the merit obtained in the written examination conducted in pen paper (OMR sheet) mode. 

The examination will be conducted for a total of 300 marks for the students who get admission in the sixth standard. 125 questions will be given. There will be 50 questions from the Mathematics subject. Three marks for each question. 25 questions will be asked from Intelligence, Language, and General Knowledge subjects. Two marks for each question. The duration of the exam is 2.30 hours.

Students joining the ninth standard will have to write the exam for 400 marks. 50 questions will be given from Mathematics. Four marks per question. Answer 100 questions of 25 questions each from Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science subjects. Two marks for each question. The duration of the exam will be three hours.

Class IX students have an opportunity to write the exam in English medium and Class VI students in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu mediums.

Selection Process: Candidates should secure minimum 25% marks in each subject and 40% marks in aggregate in all subjects in the entrance test. Physical fitness and medical tests will be conducted for the qualified candidates and admission will be given.

Allotment of Seats:  4404 for Class VI (Government- 2894, Private- 1510); 382. A total of 4786 seats were allotted for the ninth class. 67% of the available seats for the students of that state/UT and 33% for students from other states will be allotted out of the total seats available in the state where the military school is located. SC-15%, ST-7.5%, and 27% reservation for students belonging to other castes. Of the remaining 50.50% of seats, 25% can be reserved for children of ex-defense personnel and the remaining 25% for students from other states/UTs. No more than three seats can be allotted to a single state in this quota.

Exam Centers: It is possible to write the exam in 180 centers (almost all military schools) across the country. 
Exam centers in AP and Telangana state Anantapur, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore, Ongole, Rajamahendravaram, Srikakulam, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram, Hyderabad, Karimnagar.

How to Apply: Eligible students should apply online between October 21, 2022, and November 30, 2022. Students belonging to SC/ ST castes will have to pay Rs.500 and others will have to pay Rs.650. The entrance test will be conducted on January 08, 2023.
